If you really want to know about the basics, what it actually takes is  courage, India is a vast country with about million villages, and most of them don't have basic facilities like roads,toilets etc, millions of children don't go to schools because there isn't one nearby, many have to walk miles to attend the classes, If you've enough courage to start a basic school, Go to one such village and start an open air school. If wanna go better, get some money ,and build the basic infrastructure with what you have.
